Architecture Preview: Germany

Nord LB, Germany

Gunther and Stefan Behnisc, father and son, built this together. It was completed in 2002 located on Hannovers Friedrichswall, which is a street that connects the city to the residential buildings. This is used for offices which is public on some parts and private on others. It was built to combine the work place and home place together, and be a middle point. I picked this building because it kind of reminds me of jenga and when all the pieces are messed up. Also I think its such a futuristic building.

Architecture Preview: Belgium

Atomium, Belgium

Andre Waterkeyn and Christine Conix built this structure in 1957 which ended 1958. Located in Belgium it doesn't fail to catch peoples eyes. This is a public place, with a restaurant on the highest ball. This was built for the World Fair and since has been a touristic attraction and a symbol of Europe's capital. I picked this building because it kind of looks like a toy to me. Also, I think its really cool that you can be in the balls that high up.

Architecture Preview: Sweden

Turning Torso, Sweden

Santiago Calatrava started building this architecture on February 14, 2001 in Malmo, Sweden. This is a residential place only open to the public briefly in the summer. There is no information on how much this cost to make. Turning Torso was made because the local politicians wanted a decaying areas of an urban renewal. I choose this building because it kind of reminds me of the leaning tower and i thought it was inspired by that. I think that its very unique in in the place located. It gives off 2030 technology vibes, which is different from what we are used to see.
